Linux kernel Updates

The Linux kernel is an operating system kernel used by the Linux family of Unix-like operating systems. It is one of the most prominent examples of free and open source software.

Nearly three months after the release of Linux 2.6.33, Linus Torvalds has released Linux 2.6.34. It supports two new file systems and offers improved support of the power saving techniques available in modern hardware. Many new or extended drivers also improve the hardware support; 2.6.34 also has support for some Intel processors and chipsets which the Intel will be introducing early next year.

What's new in Linux 2.6.34
